Gov to Release 140 Tons of Rice to Citizens Who’re in Need of Food in Phnom Penh

140 Tons of Rice Will Be Distributed to Needy Citizens in 14 Districts in Phnom Penh

Earlier today, according to the Ministry of Information, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, released 140 tons of rice to be distributed to needy people in 14 districts of Phnom Penh.

His Excellency Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, on the night of April 18, 2021, said that Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, released 140 tons of rice to 14 districts to distribute to needy people in the local area.

HE confirmed that about 140 tons of rice donated by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and Samdech Kittipritthbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen will be transported to all 14 districts, each district will receive 10 tons on April 19th 2021 to allow district governors to distribute to people in need of food.

The Governor of Phnom Penh also advised all district governors to follow regularly on Facebook to check the calls for help from needy people.

It should be noted that during the time when the country was facing problems due to Covid-19 disease, Samdech Techo Hun Sen decided on the principle of providing funds and other food for the people to do charity work and also advised to consider providing food for those in need During the implementation of measures to block Phnom Penh.
